The Writing Center is a free service provided by the university to help you become a stronger writer and critical thinker. In the writing center, you will find a community of writing consultants, students like you as well as professionals, specially trained to work with you on any writing project in any major at any stage of the writing process. Our goal is to help you cultivate strategies to strengthen your writing.

Workshops take place in the Oxford Writing Center (310 J.D. Williams Library). Seating limited to the first 30 students to register for the workshop. All workshops include hands-on activities; Workshops last 45 – 50 minutes; For all workshops, attendees should bring A Writer’s Reference (6th or 7th edition) handbook as all sessions will feature handbook actives; All workshops are led by the writing center director and 2 or more writing consultants.
